A Minneapolis woman who has posted video of the birth of her first child online has become the Internet's newest instant celebrity.

The birth of the little girl named Solveig at 12:46 a.m. last Saturday was live streamed from Abbott Northwestern Hospital and has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times since.

The video has been watched for more than 1.3 million minutes, 10 times the normal traffic, according to Gannett Digital Media Network, which hosted the video.

It was posted on the Twin Cities site of MomsLikeMe, a social networking online group.

So far, more than 1,000 people have posted comments on the blessed event at MomsLikeMe.

The new mom, a Minneapolis high school teacher who has identified herself only as Lynsee, apparently is the first member of MomsLikeMe to post her childbirth, said Cindy Chapman, the local manager for the site.

On Saturday, about 12 hours after giving birth, Lynsee posted a long account of the experience, detailing her contractions, the epidural she received and her stitches.

"I loved watching the delivery afterward ... how amazing!" she wrote. "We have truly enjoyed sharing our story and experience with all of you. We are eager to start our new journey as a family!"
