Hunger in Minnesota

1 in 10 people in the Twin Cities goes hungry each day.

The number of people visiting the Twin Cities' 200 food shelves each month has increased 40 to 50 percent in the past year. Across the state, visits have increased 27 percent.

At least half of those needing help from food shelters have children at home.
