Foul play suspected in man's death in Lakeland Shores

The body of a man has been found in a truck in Washington County, and investigators there are investigating it as a homicide.

The body of the unidentified man was discovered Tuesday morning at Lakeland Shores Road and Quinnell Avenue N. in the city of Lakeland Shores, which is on the west bank of the St. Croix River.

Authorities haven't released any more details. The Washington County Sheriff's Office is planning to release more information today, a dispatcher said.

Lakeland Shores Mayor Randy Kopesky confirmed that a body was found, and the site of the discovery was being treated as a crime scene. He said the Sheriff's Office and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension were investigating. He declined to comment further.
