2 die in accident on I-35 in Washington County

Two people were killed late this morning in a two-car crash that also blocked southbound I-35 at Hwy. 8, said Lt. Matt Langer, spokesman for the State Patrol.

It's unclear when the lanes will reopen, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The accident occurred about 10:57 a.m. in the southbound lane of I-35 at Hwy. 8.

Traffic was still being delayed at 2:15 p.m.

No other details were available.
