Last update: October 25, 2009 - 11:51 PM

Six people, including a couple from Forest Lake, were injured over the weekend in a two-vehicle crash that left four Prescott teenagers with life-threatening injuries, the Wisconsin State Patrol reported Sunday.

The agency said the crash happened about 11:30 a.m. Saturday on U.S. Hwy. 10 in Pierce County, Wis. The patrol said a vehicle driven by Joshua Hanestad, 17, entered an intersection and was struck by a vehicle driven by Dennis D. Johnson of Forest Lake.

Hanestad was listed in critical condition at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, as were passengers Matthew M. Pechacek, 16, and Kerary D. Spindler, 15. Eric Glaser, 15, was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he also was listed in critical condition.

State Patrol officials said Johnson was not injured. Andris Kavis, 64, and Colleene Kavis, 63, both of Forest Lake, were in the SUV driven by Johnson, and had non-life threatening injuries, the patrol said.
