A community discussion on AIDS will be held Friday in Minneapolis, one of a series being convened across the nation by hosted by the White House Office of National AIDS Policy.
The discussion, which is open to the public, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Zuhrah Shrine Event Center, 2540 Park Av. S.
The White House described the event as "a chance to provide input as the White House works to fulfill the president's pledge to develop a National HIV/AIDS Strategy."
Participants will include Jeffrey Crowley, director of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy; Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn.; Rep. Keith Ellison, DFL-Minneapolis; Hennepin County Commissioner Gail Dorfman, and Sarah Rybicki, of the Midwest AIDS Training and Education Center.
