A father and son from Worthington, Minn., who were killed Friday in a crash in southwestern Minnesota were identified Saturday by the State Patrol.
David Vonholtum, 72, and Stephen Vonholtum, 38, were killed about 6 p.m. in a collision at the intersection of Hwy. 264 and Nobles County Road 35, the patrol said.
The elder Vonholtum was driving a 2005 Suzuki sport-utility vehicle west on the county road when it collided with a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup pulling a 1988 Coachman trailer that was going south on Hwy. 264.
Four people in the pickup were injured. Driver Dennis Schroeder, of Tracy, Minn., and his wife, Dawn, suffered noncritical injuries and were taken to Sanford Regional Hospital in Worthington. Their 15-year-old son and a 4-year-old family friend were treated and released.
