Faces at the fair: 'I can't stay away'

We found St. Paulite Robbie Lawrence between adventures at the State Fair. He says he's a repeat attender. "I haven't missed it since I was, like, 4." Nice hat.

Last update: September 2, 2009 - 10:37 PM

Who: Robbie Lawrence, 29, of St. Paul. A bowling center manager at Sun Ray Lanes in St. Paul.

What's your favorite spot? "It's the midway. I can't stay away. I try to avoid it. I try to do it the last thing but it sucks me in every year. I love it."

How often do you come to the fair? "I come every single year. I haven't missed it since I was, like, 4 and I come at least three or four times a year. Love it!"

Favorite food? "Corn. I love that roasted sweet corn. I kind of use that as a chaser for every other food up here. I do like to eat, but the corn is my favorite."

Quote: "I just like the wide variety. I kind of like the art building, the technology building, the deals. But I come back for the midway. But I like the whole everything. That's why I come so many different days, you can't do it all in one."
