Ridgedale Library hosts health care meeting

Last update: August 12, 2009 - 8:04 PM

Usually silence is golden at this venue, but the town hall meeting there tonight is on a subject that may provoke a ruckus.

Congressional efforts to overhaul health care, along with energy, will be discussed at 7 tonight at the Ridgedale Library in Minnetonka.

The meeting is sponsored by the Minnesota Tea Party Patriots. This chapter is one of hundreds around the country that say they are promoting fiscal responsibility, limited government and free markets.

Among the speakers are Twila Brase, president of the Citizens' Council on Health Care and a health-privacy advocate, and John Gazel and Bruce Saylar of Connexus Energy.
