IDs released of teen killed, other hurt in ATV crash

Identities were released Saturday of the two women in their late teens who crashed their all-terrain vehicle into a tree in central Minnesota, leaving one of them dead.

Killed Thursday evening was Kayla Lien, 19, of Foley, Minn., the passenger on the ATV, the Benton County Sheriff's Office said. The driver, Macy McCormick, 18, of Foley, suffered non-life threatening injuries, the Sheriff's Office said. Neither was wearing a helmet.

The wreck occurred shortly after 7 p.m. in a housing development on the edge of Duelm, about 12 miles east of Sauk Rapids.
