Minneapolis police investigating man's death

Last update: June 29, 2009 - 11:01 PM

A man's body found Monday evening in an apartment east of Lake Nokomis has Minneapolis police investigating what they describe as a suspicious death.

Emergency medical service personnel were called shortly before 7 p.m. to an apartment in the 5700 block of Bossen Terrace, where they found the body of a man.

Details about the man, including what made his death suspicious, were not available Monday night. The Police Department's homicide unit is investigating.

The Hennepin County medical examiner's office will identify the man and will determine the cause of his death.

Police had no suspects in custody Monday night, but asked that anyone with information call 612-692-8477.

If the death proves to be a homicide, it will be the city's sixth of the year.
