A man went to a bank inside a St. Paul grocery store, used a Panera Bread bag in a heist and fled with the bank's bread.

The robbery occurred at the TCF Bank about 5:45 p.m. Thursday inside Cub Foods on University Avenue, authorities said.

ACCORDING TO THE FBI: The robber demanded cash from the teller while keeping one hand inside the brown paper bag. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, which he stuffed in his pocket before leaving.

He was last seen entering a white late-model Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon with tinted windows.

The suspect is described as black, about 5 feet 4 to 5 feet 6, about 130 pounds, in his early 30s to early 40s, with scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a light, long-sleeved collared shirt with dark pants, white sneakers, a dark hat with a logo on the front and sunglasses.
