Shorewood house pelted with eggs

Last update: June 3, 2009 - 4:51 PM

A Shorewood couple's house was pelted with about three dozen eggs by an 18-year-old who was mad at the couple's daughter because of a dispute at a party, according to felony charges filed against the young man.

Emery J. Eaton of Tonka Bay is accused of causing more than $2,800 damage to the siding of the house on Oct. 25, according to first-degree damage to property charges filed in Hennepin County District Court.

The girl's father told police that the house had also been egged the previous weekend.

According to the criminal complaint, the girl's father said he and his wife were awakened overnight by something hitting the side of their house. The next morning, the father said he discovered that the back of the house had been hit by about 36 eggs.

The daughter said she learned that Eaton was bragging about egging the house in retaliation for an incident at a party, according to the complaint.
