A 37-year-old Anoka woman has died of head injuries she received in a crash that put her vehicle on the light rail tracks near the U.S. Bank Stadium station, authorities said Tuesday.
Christina Jo Jackson was injured on Dec. 26 near the intersection of S. 4th Street and Park Avenue and died two days later at Hennepin County Medical Center, according to the medical examiner's office.
Jackson was driving east on 4th about 2:30 a.m., "lost control ... and crashed," said Metro Transit spokesman Howie Padilla.
Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances of the crash or whether alcohol was a factor.
