Interstate 494 in the Twin Cities southwest metro reopened late Thursday after a semitrailer truck rollover crash kept the freeway closed in both directions for most of afternoon rush hour.

Eastbound I-494 reopened to traffic a few hours after the crash. The westbound freeway remained closed for several hours, but the Minnesota Department of Transportation website showed it open about 11:30 p.m.

The truck caught fire after it rolled over on 494 at Hwy. 169, according to the State Patrol, which added that there were minor injuries.
