One person was killed Wednesday in the crash of a small plane south of Grantsburg, Wis., according to a Burnett County dispatcher. The crash, in rural Anderson Township, was reported to the Sheriff's Office about 1:30 p.m., the dispatcher said. Reports from the scene were that the only person on the plane, the pilot, was killed on impact, authorities said. Television footage of the wreckage, which ignited brush and grasses in the immediate area of impact, showed little left of the aircraft.
