A judge from Guinness World Records will be on hand tonight as a downtown Minneapolis bartender attempts to break the mark for the most cocktails mixed in one hour.
Chris Raph, bar manager at The Shout House Dueling Pianos on Hennepin Avenue, needs to top the record of 389 cocktails mixed. That mark belongs to Matthias Knorr of Munich, Germany.
Raph is a veteran of many speed bartending competitions and is hoping to break the record by nearly 50 cocktails.
Festivities will begin at 7 tonight. Raph starts mixing at 8:30.
There is a $4 admission, which will go directly to the Finnegan's Community Fund, which helps those in poverty.
