The Apple Valley woman injured in a hit-and-run accident Friday remained in critical condition Sunday.

Joan LeVasseur, 26, was hit as she crossed Cedar Avenue at the intersection of 153rd St. about 9 p.m. A vehicle -- described by police as a large, neutral-colored vehicle with possible front-end damage -- hit her in the crosswalk.

Family members said she suffered severe head trauma, brain injuries and fractures in her legs and pelvis. LeVasseur, who is engaged to be married, was walking to Cub Foods when the accident occurred.

There are no arrests in the case, although police are receiving several tips, said Apple Valley Sgt. Joe Shaw.
