What's open and closed on Presidents' Day

MONDAY IS PRESIDENTS' DAY

WHAT'S OPEN AND CLOSED

POST OFFICES: Closed except for the 24-hour office at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Express Mail will be delivered in the metro area.

BANKS: TCF In-store and traditional branches are open normal hours. Call in-store and traditional branches of Wells Fargo for hours. U.S. Bank traditional branches are closed; some in-store branches are open; call for hours.

GROCERIES: Major supermarkets are open.

MALLS: Most are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call for hours.

MASS TRANSIT: Metro Transit buses and light-rail trains will follow regular schedules. For route information, call 612-373-3333 or go to www.metrotransit.org. Minnesota Valley Transit Authority, Maple Grove Transit, Plymouth Metrolink, SouthWest Metro Transit and Metro Mobility will follow regular service.

PARKING METERS: Not enforced in Minneapolis and St. Paul. The University of Minnesota will enforce meters. Minneapolis parks will enforce meters unless noted on the meter.

SCHOOLS: Many public schools are closed; check with your local district. The University of Minnesota is open.

PUBLIC AGENCIES: Local, state and federal offices are closed.

LIBRARIES: Most are closed: Hennepin County suburban branches are open. Call for hours.

RECREATION CENTERS: Call for hours.
