ALLYSEN HOBERG

Grew up: In Richfield, the daughter of Bob Hoberg, a teacher, and Peggy Hoberg, who works in data systems.

Education: Graduate of Richfield High School. Her class slogan was "We're not rich, we're not poor, we're the class of '94!"

Family: Son Henry, 6.

Residence: A former crack house she's fixing up in the Nokomis neighborhood of Minneapolis.

In her downtime: Reading (partial to Janet Evanovitch mysteries), monthly social get-togethers with other shelter workers, going to concerts, dancing at clubs, garage sales, crafting with Henry.

Role models/motivators: Ex-bosses Cathy ten Broeke and Mary Gallini, both still in the field; Hennepin County access worker David Krall, current boss Mikkel Beckmen, and everyone at St. Stephen's.
