A collision in southern Minnesota killed two people and left two others seriously injured, authorities said.

The crash involving a car and a pickup truck occurred about 20 miles northeast of Windom shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday at Hwy. 30 and Cottonwood County Road 1, according to the State Patrol.

Killed was the car's driver, a 54-year-old man from Jackson, Minn., and one of his passengers, a 47-year-old man from Bloomington, the patrol said. Their identities have yet to be released.

Hospitalized with serious injuries were two other people in the car, both from Bloomington, 52-year-old Khonrasamith Phonvidone and 44-year-old Saengdao Philaphon.

The pickup's driver, Brian V. Hagberg, 21, of Sanborn, Minn., suffered noncritical injuries.
