A psychologist who admitted to lying to police about being raped in her St. Paul office has had her license suspended indefinitely by the state Board of Psychology.
Jill Ajao, 42, made up the rape claim to cover up consensual sex she had with a man she met online, authorities said.
She pleaded guilty in April to a misdemeanor charge of falsely reporting a crime, and was ordered then to serve 20 days in jail, to pay $3,275 restitution and to get therapy.
In a recent nine-page order, the state Board of Psychology wrote that Ajao's "conduct in reporting the alleged rape raises questions about her ability to practice psychology with reasonable skill and safety to clients."
It also said that she had a history of mental health problems, and that it appeared she had not detailed that history to mental health providers.
Ajao was ordered to undergo psychiatric and fitness-for-duty evaluations, and to then meet with a board panel to discuss the results, as well as her license status.
