A pickup truck rolled over Tuesday morning and crashed along Interstate 94 southeast of Fergus Falls, Minn., killing two teenage brothers among four teens traveling from the Moorhead area to a basketball tournament in Wisconsin.

The crash occurred about 9:10 a.m. on I-94 near Dalton, the State Patrol said.

Driver Zach Kvalvog, 18, and his brother Connor, 14, were killed, according to Park Christian basketball coach Josh Lee.

Lee said Mark Schwandt, 17, and Jimmy Morton, 18, were hospitalized. The patrol said Schwandt's injuries were non-life threatening and Morton's were serious.

All but Morton were members of the Park Christian basketball program. Morton is from Jackson, Miss., according to the patrol.

The pickup hit the shoulder on the left side of the eastbound lanes, and the driver "overcorrected to the right and then rolled into the median," the patrol said in a statement. "[The] vehicle ended up in the westbound lanes of I-94."

Park Christian President Kent Hannestad said the four were heading to a basketball tournament in the Wisconsin Dells area. Hannestad added that Morton was considering a transfer to Park Christian.

When word of the crash began circulating, a number of people came to the school late Tuesday morning "just to pray and cry and process the information for a little bit," Hannestad said.

A prayer service was scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at the school.

"Our school's heart aches today," read a posting on the school's Twitter account.
