A crash on Interstate 94 near Hwy. 280 killed a St. Paul woman Monday afternoon and closed a section of the freeway for more than three hours.
Mee Y Vue, 63, was driving west on I-94 about 3 p.m. when her Honda CRV crossed the median into eastbound traffic, hitting head on into a Ford pickup truck. Vue was killed and the driver of the truck, Justin S. Honken, 34, of St. Paul, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.
It's unclear why Vue crossed the median, said State Patrol spokeswoman Lt. Tiffani Nielson
The eastbound lane on I-94 was closed from the I-35W junction and Cretin Avenue N. until about 6:30 p.m., Nielson said.
