Crash victims in separate accidents identified.
A bicyclist killed after he was hit by a truck in Blaine Monday has been identified as Dale P. Aanenson, 63, according to the Anoka County medical examiner.
The Blaine resident was riding his bike on Central Avenue about 8:55 a.m. when he was struck by the vehicle as he tried to cross Cloverleaf Parkway.
The driver, a 40-year-old man from East Bethel, stopped at the scene and has been cooperating with police. Aanenson had a stop sign at the intersection, but the driver did not.
A motorcycle passenger who died Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in southeastern Minnesota has been identified as Kerry Affeldt, 45, of Wykoff, Minn., the State Patrol said.
Affeldt was not wearing a helmet when the motorcycle she was riding on sideswiped an oncoming car about 3:30 p.m. on Hwy. 43 in Fillmore County, about 10 miles north of the Minnesota-Iowa border, the State Patrol said.
The motorcycle driver, Terry Fetterly, 53, of Spring Valley, Minn., was taken to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn., with a head injury. He was in critical condition. The driver of the car, Aradath Johnson, 67, was not injured.
A woman killed when her car drove off Hwy. 100 in Edina last week has been identified as Tonya M. McKesson, 37, of Minneapolis, according to the State Patrol. McKesson's 5-year-old son was also injured in the crash.
She was driving southbound about 5 a.m. Friday when her car struck a guard rail near W. 77th Street. McKesson was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she died.
