Smoking prevalence in Minnesota declined from 16.1 percent in 2010 to 14.4 percent, according to the recently released Minnesota Adult Tobacco Survey, with young adults aged 18-24 dropping the fastest across the time period.
This is also the first MATS to showcase smoking prevalence broken down by Minnesota region, with Northeastern Minnesota seeing the greatest percentage of smokers and South Central Minnesota seeing the least.
