MINNEAPOLIS — A Hennepin County grand jury won't bring charges against four officers involved in the fatal shooting of a man and woman on Highway 212 earlier this year.

Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced the grand jury's decision Friday.

Authorities say 36-year-old Matthew Serbus and 34-year-old Dawn Pfister, both of Elkhorn, Wisconsin, were in a stolen car involved in a hit-and-run on the morning of Feb. 7. They led police on a chase before crashing in Eden Prairie.

Serbus got out of the car with a knife, and officers fired when he refused to drop it. Pfister took the knife and was also shot.

The four officers are: Chaska Police Sgt. Brady Juell, Chaska Police Officer Trent Wurtz, State Patrol Trooper Mark Lund and Carver County Sheriff's Cpl. Nathan Mueller.
