MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are searching for a man who they say sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl.
Police say a man in his late teens pulled the girl into the backyard of a home on the city's south side after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. They say he assaulted her in the yard and was last seen running north toward Greenfield Ave.
A witness tells WITI-TV she shouted and ran toward the man after she heard the girl screaming, which caused him to take off.
The girl's condition is unclear. Police are asking anyone with information about the attack to come forward.
