For the second time this month, Minneapolis police are looking for a motorist who hit a bicyclist and then left the scene.

The latest incident happened about 2 a.m. Wednesday when a motorist struck and injured a bicyclist on Lyndale Avenue near Linden Avenue in north Minneapolis, police said.

The bicyclist, a 54-year-old man, suffered a dislocated shoulder and broken bones and is expected to be OK. He is being treated at Hennepin County Medical Center in downtown Minneapolis, said Minneapolis Police Sgt. Jesse Garcia.

Police are still looking for the motorist who hit and killed Jim Nisser as he biked along Excelsior Boulevard near Lake Calhoun. Nisser, 64, of St. Louis Park was on his way to work at the Minikahda Club about 4:20 a.m. on Sept. 11 when he was hit near W. 32nd Street. Nisser died at the scene.

Anyone with information about either accident is asked to call Sgt. Bruce Folkens at 612-673-3410 or Sgt. Chris Karakostas at 612-673-3400.
