ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Faculty members at St. Cloud State University are showing their unhappiness with the leader of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.

On Monday, the St. Cloud State Faculty Senate overwhelmingly approved a vote of "no-confidence" in MnSCU Chancellor Steven Rosenstone.

The vote comes just over a week after the Winona State University faculty senate unanimously approved a no-confidence vote, and days after two faculty unions voted to withdraw from participation in Rosenstone's long-range planning to overhaul the sprawling system's operations.

SCSU faculty members cite Rosenstone for showing a "lack of respect for faculty participation, shared governance and common cause."

In response, MnSCU says it's disappointed in the no-confidence vote and says it welcomes the faculty back to the table any time they choose to return.
