Reporting abuse

Last update: August 29, 2008 - 9:11 PM

All nursing home workers and most health professionals are required by law to report suspected abuse of vulnerable adults. Anyone can report suspected abuse. To report abuse:

• Look up "Common Entry Point" in the telephone directory for the county where the alleged abuse occurs, and call to make a report. For a complete list of Common Entry Point phone numbers go to www.mnaging.org/advisor/cepd.htm.

• Contact the Office of Health Facility Complaints at the Minnesota Department of Health: 651-201-4201 or go to www.health.state.mn.us and click on Facilities and Professions.
