Police: Man suspected in fatal Wisconsin shooting arrested in Colorado, charged with homicide

MADISON, Wis. — Police say a man suspected of fatally shooting a 25-year-old in Madison this weekend has been arrested in Colorado.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1A8LVzw ) police said Wednesday that 27-year-old Tyrone Isaac Jr. is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the Saturday killing of Darren Goodwan.

Police say Isaac went to a hospital in Dubuque, Iowa, after the shooting and said he was shot in the knee during a robbery. Police say he was shot by a friend of Goodwan's after the initial shooting.

Police say Isaac then took a taxi to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and got on a bus to Denver. He eventually surrendered to police in a Denver suburb.

He's being held in a Colorado jail pending extradition to Wisconsin. It wasn't immediately clear if he has an attorney.
