Lowry Hill tunnel washing continues tonight

The Lowry Hill Tunnel will be closed to traffic in both directions from 10 p.m. today to 5 a.m. Wednesday, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said.

Crews will remove dirt and grime that has built up on the walls over the summer and conduct general maintenance.

Motorists on Interstate 94 will be rerouted around the tunnel during the closure.
