The letters that spell out "FOSHAY" shine on downtown Minneapolis once more. The name on one of Minneapolis' most famous downtown landmarks lit up Tuesday night on all four sides of the Foshay Tower, one day before the building reopens as the 230-room W Hotel. The 10-foot-tall letters at the 30th floor were turned off in November 2006 as renovations began at 821 Marquette Av. The 32-floor building was the city's tallest for four decades and designed in the vein of the Washington Monument. It opened in 1929 to John Philip Sousa and his band playing a new composition, "The Foshay Tower March." PAUL WALSH
