TOWN OF BURNETT, Wis. — Dodge County authorities are investigating the theft of veterans' grave makers from a second cemetery in the past week.

WISN-TV (http://bit.ly/1oMmtuV ) reports brass markings from 30 graves were stolen from Stone Cemetery in the Town of Burnett.

The markers designated veterans from World War I, World War II and the Korean War.

Town Chairman Tim Fletcher says the thefts are "just not right."

Last week, Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam reported a similar theft of markers from grave sites.

The Dodge County sheriff's office says 78 markers with a total value of about $3,750 were reported stolen from the two cemeteries.

Authorities say each marker costs about $35 to replace, but is only worth a few dollars on the scrap market.
