Continued: Metrodome seats fill Royals Stadium in Woodbury

Bolting the seats to the sides of the concrete bleachers — just as they were installed in the Metrodome — was challenging work, McDermott said. Some of the seats are 20 inches wide, while others are an inch narrower.

Still, a project he anticipated would take a week or longer only took two days. The seats were installed in the stadium in time for the Royals’ last home game.

“They did a great job,” McDermott said.
