Video simulation of the jet's flight path

Last update: August 1, 2008 - 9:39 AM

A leading provider of real-time global flight tracking information has produced a video simulating the weather conditions and flight path of the charter jet before it crashed in Owatonna, Minn., Thursday morning.

Flight Explorer, headquartered in McLean, Va., a Washington suburb, said it made the video in the "hopes that this real-time information will help investigating authorities and the news media better understand conditions that may have contributed" to the accident.

Visitors can view the video at travel.flightexplorer.com/ECJ81.
