Gov. Tim Pawlenty has appointed an assistant Winona County attorney as a judge in the Third Judicial District, based in Winona.
Assistant County Attorney Nancy Bostrack will be sworn in at a special ceremony in Winona at a later date before officially taking the bench. No date was announced.
She was an adjunct professor at Winona State University from 1996 to 2003. She earned her law degree from St. Paul's Hamline University in 1991.
Pawlenty said she is highly respected in the judicial system for her legal knowledge, courtroom ability and integrity.
Bostrack replaces Judge Margaret Shaw Johnson, who retired in May.
