Officers discovered the body shortly before 2:30 a.m. Killing not random, police say.

A man was found fatally shot early Thursday in a north Minneapolis home, and no arrests have been made, authorities said.

Police officers responding to the shooting shortly before 2:30 a.m. discovered the 32-year-old man in the residence in the 2000 block of N. Hillside Av., about four blocks northeast of the West Broadway and Penn Avenues intersection.

The man had been shot multiple times, police said. His identity has yet to be released.

This does not appear to be a random act of violence, said police spokesman John Elder.

Anyone with any information about this case is urged to call police at 612-692-8477.
