I'm sure many people have an 'Uncle Jim'.

He's reliably there at family gatherings. He wears glasses and has a beard. He's personable and easy-going. He's your mom's brother. Despite many similarities, each Uncle Jim is distinguised by something that will be missed.

The one thing I will miss the most about my Uncle Jim is his hug. The way he always greeted me warmly with a long, drawn out, 'Jaaaaaash,' his arms wide open in an honest way waiting for me to reciprocate. A hug was easy with Uncle Jim. It was with that one simple gesture that he could convey his overall nature. I'm amazed at how such a simple thing could so completely define a person. I'll miss that easy hug from Uncle Jim the most.
