On December 14, 2013 the Lord called Richard "Ricky" James Lind to his kingdom.
Ricky, age 11, died in his mother's arms after a hard fought battle against Ewing's Sarcoma in the comfort of his family cabin that he proudly picked out for his grandmother. Ricky lived with his mother & two sisters in Hibbing, MN. He attended school at Lincoln Elementary.
Ricky loved spending time with his family, friends, and his baby girls: Baby sister Madelyn and cousins Ellie and Aubrey.
He had an incredible passion and love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed the moments he spent with his Dad and Grandpa Mike.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, camping, and bonfires. Ricky was a sports fanatic. Hockey, football, and baseball being his favorites, in which he played up until he was unable due to his illness.
Ricky carried so many unique qualities: Brave, Adventurous, Compassionate, Extremely Witty, Funny, and A truly Honest Man (Sometimes brutally so). His illness did not define him in any way.
He was a Valiant Warrior and fought hard until the end. He touched so many lives and will live on in our hearts forever.
