Anoka County District Judge Jenny Walker Jasper has been honored for her support of women who entered and successfully completed the county's Enhanced Treatment Program, the state's only county-run outpatient program aimed at women involved in the criminal justice system.

Walker Jasper was awarded the 2013 Robert H. Robinson Service Award by the Minnesota Community Corrections Association, in part for her ongoing support of clients long after they leave her courtroom.

"Supporting Anoka County's Enhanced Treatment Program is very easy," the judge said. "The Enhanced Treatment Program's staff is remarkable in their dedication to their clients and the program which they have developed.

"The women who enter the program work hard to address their chemical dependency issues and when they are successful it is truly something that they, the court and the community should celebrate."
