A Cook, Minn., man died Friday night after his truck collided with a semitrailer truck on Hwy. 53 about 20 miles north of Virginia.
Richard Chapman, 74, died at the scene after his pickup truck struck the back of a semi also heading northbound on Hwy. 53 about 7 p.m. Friday. The accident sent Chapman's truck into the ditch and ejecting him from the vehicle, according to the State Patrol.
The semi driver, Donald Tonn, 51, of Crosby, Minn., wasn't injured.
