Roseville woman who left 4-year-old avoids jail

Last update: June 27, 2008 - 7:27 PM

A Roseville woman was spared jail time Friday in a child-neglect case that saw her admit to leaving her kids home alone last January to spend a night at Mystic Lake Casino.

That morning, according to court documents, her 4-year-old daughter was found running along a snowbank wearing just a thin T-shirt and socks.

Angela M. Johnson, 35, now must serve two years of probation and perform 40 hours of community service, under the sentence imposed Friday in Ramsey County District Court.

Her daughter did not suffer frostbite or other injuries, records show.
