Tuesday's hot and humid weather is expected to reappear today, with a high of 90 predicted for the Twin Cities, as well as a good chance of a strong afternoon thunderstorm. Looking ahead to the rest of the week, including Thursday's opening day of the Minnesota State Fair, there is a slight retreat in temperatures as the chances for precipitation improve. Highs will settle into the 80s into the weekend, with thunderstorms possible on Friday. The metro area might inch back into the low 90s on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
