One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon near Pine City, Minn.

The State Patrol said William Joseph, 50, of Maplewood was killed when another man driving northbound in a pickup truck ran a stop sign and hit Joseph’s car, which was headed west on Hwy. 70.

The driver of the truck, 48-year-old Danny Kitterman, of Waite Park, Minn., was not injured. The patrol said alcohol was detected in his system.

Joseph’s car was totaled, but its passenger was not injured.

Damage to the pickup was described as “severe.”
