A reported abduction of a 14-year-old girl near a park in Duluth has investigators looking for a masked suspect who was clutching a baton at the time and questioning the witness further.

The incident reportedly occurred about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday near Lincoln Park, and a 16-year-old girl gave police this account:

A black Ford Expedition with white rims pulled up to the girl, and a man with a black mask and a baton got out and forced the girl into the back of the vehicle. The SUV had three additional occupants and the vehicle's plate ends with 03.

The suspect is described as American Indian, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, with black hair in a braid. He was wearing a long-sleeve shirt with a Chicago Bulls logo on the back.

The girl is described as American Indian, with waist-length black hair put up in a bun. She has a stud piercing above her right eye and was wearing a green shirt with "Aero" written on the front, white leggings, flip-flops and a silver bracelet. She is also described as having perfect teeth.

By early afternoon, police said in a statement that they have yet to identify a victim, despite having "used significant resources and utilized multiple technologies and databases within and outside of our department."

Police said they are continuing to do "everything possible to resolve this."

The witness gave police multiple last names for the girl and a first name of Jessica. She said the two went to school together, but all girls by that name at the school have been accounted for, police said.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to call police at 1-218-727-8770 or 911.
