JANESVILLE, Iowa — The Bremer county Sheriff's Office says a Minnesota woman has died in a two-vehicle crash caused by a wrong-way driver in northeast Iowa.

The sheriff office says 51-year-old Tracy Lynn Willis, of Faribault, Minn., died in the Wednesday afternoon collision on Highway 218 north of Janesville.

Dispatchers received a call of a red truck that was northbound in the southbound lanes of Highway 218.

Before officers could reach the area, the truck collided head-on with a southbound vehicle driven by Willis.

The truck driver, 58-year-old Verle Dean Wygle, of Waterloo, was taken to a Waterloo hospital.

Three other vehicles were involved in minor accidents related to the fatal crash.

The sheriff's office says Thursday an investigation of the collision is continuing.
