ROLLINSFORD, N.H. — New Hampshire State Police say a motorist in a two-vehicle crash on Route 4 in Rollinsford that took the life of a Minnesota woman has been arrested in her death.

Police say the motorist's vehicle struck the other car about 4:30 p.m. Saturday and the motorist fled.

Forty-three-year-old Matthew Tsopas of Somersworth, N.H., was located later and taken to a hospital in Dover, where he was charged with negligent homicide, felony driving under the influence of alcohol and felony conduct after an accident.

Police said the passenger in the other vehicle, 30-year-old Leah Fonda, of St. Paul, Minn., was killed.

The driver of that vehicle, 30-year-old Brian Preiss, also of St. Paul, was treated at the hospital then moved to a hospital in Massachusetts. Police described his injuries as serious.
