A driver was killed when his car veered into oncoming traffic on Hwy. 12 in Wright County and hit an oncoming sport-utility vehicle, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 12:20 p.m. Tuesday on Hwy. 12 at 12th Avenue in Howard Lake, according to the State Patrol.
Killed was Keith Hardel, 66, of Howard Lake, the patrol said. Two people in the SUV were not hurt.
Authorities have yet to say why Hardel's eastbound car went into the wrong lane about a mile from his home.
